Kyoto’s autumn foliage is a sight to behold. Places like Kiyomizu Temple, Tofukuji, and Kibune Shrine offer spectacular views of red and gold leaves, creating a picture-perfect landscape.

In autumn, be sure to experience the “Maple Tunnel” on the Eizan Railway. Even in winter, Kyoto’s beauty shines through. The snow-covered Kinkakuji (Golden Pavilion) and Nanzenji Temple create a serene and picturesque scene that feels like stepping into a painting.

By the way, my favorite season is autumn! The red and orange hues of the autumn leaves perfectly complement the serene atmosphere of the temples and shrines. Plus, it’s the best time for delicious food, making autumn in Kyoto my top recommendation. On the other hand, summer… Kyoto can get extremely hot in the summer, so wandering around the city might be a bit challenging. However, the summer festivals are a great way to experience traditional Kyoto culture (if you can bear the heat, that is).
